How Big is Zooey?

SOOOO BIG! Zooey went to the pediatrician last Tuesday for her four month checkup. She now weighs 13.7 lbs. and is 26 3/8" long, putting her in the 95% for height - imagine that! She also got the green light to begin rice cereal, which she seems to be enjoying very much! Next week we get to start oatmeal!

American Idol

While at MawMaw's house I was watching American Idol in Madisen's bedroom. Though Zooey typically isn't allowed TV time I quickly noticed that it was a great incentive for her to lift her head. She maintained this position for several minutes without even a bobble. I think she is going with Lil Rounds this season. I might have to vote on her behalf.

My Adidas

Zooey got to visit with Uncle Noah and Aunt Amy again this past week. They brought her this adorable outfit which fits her perfectly!

Bath Time With Mommy

1.Strip off clothes and sit on towel in boppy seat as Mommy runs the bath water.

2.Get all dry with towels on Mommy's bed.

3.Get powdered, diapered, lotion massage, dressed, and hair brushed.

My Funny Valentines

On Valentine's Day Ben and I were able to go out in the afternoon to listen to jazz and eat Pasta House. Zooey was able to spend time with her Grandma and Grandpa! Then we got a special call from my cousins Michael and Rachel. We decided to join them and Zooey's cousin baby Carli at their Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's house. While there Zooey was also able to meet her Great Uncle Bob and visit her Great Aunt Angie and Uncle Mike. She was ready for a nap but we all insisted that she pose for a picture with her cousin Carli.

Gotta Get That Lettuce

I cannot believe that my maternity leave is coming to an end. It seems like yesterday that it started. I look forward to seeing my students again, but will miss my Zooey more than anything. I have always been one of those girls that said I would want to work and have my career even after I had kids, but now I would love to be a stay at home mom. Thankfully Zooey will be able to stay home with Grandma and Daddy some of the time that I am at work. I'm sure we will get our schedule in order and everything will fall into place. Plus....the income and health insurance is a must; I cannot deny my baby that. However, I cannot lie....I have already started counting down to Spring Break.
